Day breaks as I return to the village. I wonder if Kain is doing the same. I decided to wait at our makeshift base for him. It might help me sort some things out. As I turn the corner, my pack hits me in the face with such force that I'm knocks me over. Adrian: What the hell? Kain: Don't leave important things behind. Adrian: Thanks, DAD! Kain: If I'm not mistaken, you were taught to respect all of your elders. Adrian: Ugh... Sorry, sir. Kain: Heh, good boy. Adrian: Bastard... We sit down and talk about what we found. I didn't find anything, so my part was pretty short. He found out more than we had in both of our travels combined. I

My name is Adrian Gato. I am a ninja from a special village of people others commonly refer to as "nekos." I don't like being called a "neko", but it's better than the other names. The  ninjas that are trained in the village are trained under the strictest of disciplines. Our cat reflexes give us the advantage we need to be better than regular ninja. For years we've lived a peaceful existence, but the world is changing. Reports from the other villages bring bad news. Everybody is fearing that what is happening to the others will happen to us. Our defense personnel has nearly tripled and the training schedule for all ninja has been increased.
